Hi there, I'm Vicente Climent Calatayud, a trombonist, teacher, and coach. I care deeply about helping musicians grow, not only as players, but as people too.
Alongside my performing career, teaching and mentoring have become the most important part of my musical life. I currently work as Professor of Trombone at HEMU Fribourg, where I focus on sound development, musical identity, audition preparation, and the mental side of performance. I believe that playing well is not only about technique, but also about confidence, clarity, and learning how to handle pressure in a healthy way.
Over the years, I've been lucky to work and perform with many professional orchestras and ensembles.
Today, I continue to stay active as a performer while focusing more and more on teaching and coaching. I regularly collaborate with the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra and its Academy. Since 2023, I have been working more closely across Asia, including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, and South Korea, where I combine performance with teaching and coaching.
More than anything, I try to share what I have learned in a simple and honest way, and to give musicians tools that stay with them beyond the stage.

I serve as a Trombone Professor at HEMU, one of Switzerland's leading music universities, alongside Justin Clark in the brass department. I train the next generation of orchestral trombonists, focusing on artistic excellence, technical mastery, and professional orchestral preparation.
